Waterfalls

Looking forward to this summer. I will be visiting a few waterfalls to photograph! Here's one from about a week ago.

March and New Photos

In March I went to Savannah, GA for a little vacation. On the morning of the 24th, my Dad and I had planned on waking up at 5:30am to go to Tybee for the sunrise but instead woke up to a storm. He asked me if I still wanted to go and I told him we could maybe go later. About five minutes of me laying there, something told me to just go. As we drove to the Island, It was still raining and very dark outside. We parked in the parking lot near the pier and I told him I wanted to wait it out to see what happened. Finally as it started to get a little light outside the rain started to slow down. We drove over to where I knew the rocks were from being there the previous summer. Nobody was on the beach. It was freezing outside and I couldn't even spot the rocks. They were practically underwater! I told him I needed to get in the water to get the shot I wanted. As cold as it was, I walked away with my favorite photo I've ever taken. I think it's difficult for any photographer to pick out one favorite but this one is definitely mine. The fact that I was so close to not going, and that it stopped raining for the 30-45 minutes I was in the water. I think it was meant to be. This photo reminds me to get up and bring my camera everywhere even if it looks hopeless outside for a great photograph.
