Have not posted anything in a while! This break from school, I'm dedicating a lot of my time to getting some new landscape photos. The best part of landscape is visiting all of these great places. This whole year I have taken so many landscape photos and it is definitely hard to choose a favorite because they all bring me to a memory of how I shot it and the adventure to getting to the location. If I had to pick one favorite it is definitely the cliff overlooking Lake Jocassee. I couldn't get enough of that view. We sat on that cliff for about an hour and a half and even that wasn't long enough to take in everything. Every so often you'd see a boat down in one of the coves or an eagle flying below. We were so high up! I was so happy to get a great sunset from that trip. Another photo I shot this fall was a waterfall near Brevard, NC. The water was freezing but I decided to get the shot I wanted, I'd have to get in. Feet were numb for a while but I thought it was worth it after getting the photo I thought was the best from that location. I'd love to get some snow photos this winter and head back to the mountains and find some new locations or re-visit some old ones and get a different perspective. We'll see what comes from the next few months but I hope I get some photos worth adding to the landscape collection!

Brevard NC

Had an awesome time in Brevard, North Carolina yesterday! The leaves had awesome fall color to them! Still in the process of editing, but until then, here is a photo I shot on the way back down the mountain last night at sunset.

It has been a great week! Very excited to try out my new camera equipment and cannot wait for the upcoming shoots that I've been trying to get together. It's definitely going to be something different than what I have ever done before. It's time to get out of my comfort zone.

Wedding Photos

I did my first wedding photos a few months ago and I thought I would post a few from that shoot. I'll be doing another wedding shoot soon and am very excited to see what I capture on that day.

A Summer of Landscape Photos

August is almost over which means fall is getting closer and closer! I'm really hoping to get some great Landscape fall photos with the leaves changing. Here are some of my Landscape photos from this summer. It's difficult for me to choose a favorite landscape photo because each one brings me to a different memory of how I captured it. But if I had to choose a favorite at the moment, it would be the photo of the lighthouse and dunes in Tybee. Just after eating dinner at Sting Rays, my mom and a friend of mine went up to the northern end of Tybee and walked around the beach and I captured the silhouette of the dunes and lighthouse.

Reptile Shoot

Lately I've been using an 85mm lens and have been trying to get some great images of some reptiles! Since some of the reptiles are small, this lens was perfect for this shoot which really captured the detail in the reptile's faces. I might put together a book with all of these reptile photos sometime in the future. Until then, I'm just having fun experimenting with this lens!
